Holding On

First base is a social club, and you’re the host with the most. Every manner of player makes a stop at your base, and most all of them have something to say: young, old, all-star, backup, all-timers and never weres. It might be for the duration of a single pitch, over a 12 pitch battle, or a running conversation across a whole game (it can’t be good for your team that he’s been on base that much, can it?)
